Album

Shine a Light is the soundtrack to The Rolling Stones' concert film of the same name, directed by Martin Scorsese. It was released on 1 April 2008 in the UK by Polydor Records and one week later in the US by Interscope Records. Double disc and single disc versions were issued. Shine a Light is the tenth concert album released by the Rolling Stones. Like the two 2006 shows from which it was culled, it features no songs from their 2005 album A Bigger Bang. The two-disc version features all but two of. Shine a Light is the soundtrack to the Martin Scorsese concert film, catching the Stones at two New York shows in 2006, one with Bill Clinton in the house. Maybe thats why they did Some Girls It documents the Stones on a historic roll, reveling in their mastery. Jack White duets with Mick Jagger on Loving Cup, while Buddy Guy jams on the Muddy Waters oldie Champagne and Reefer. Christina Aguilera sings on Live With Me, but she misses all the humor. Rolling Stones Records 176 474-5, Polydor 176 . Martin Scorsese Intro. Sympathy For The Devil. Rolling Stones - She Was hot. New York was cold and damp TV is just a blank Looks like another dead end Sunday What about an early night Monday never feels so bright Ooh the sheets feel cold and lonely Who wants to brave the pouring rain For a glass of French champagne Well grab a cab, grab a cap and baby, come right by And she was hot - as she kissed my mouth She was hot - as I wiped her brow She was hot - she pinned me to the ground She was quick - she knew her way around She was hot - as she tore my clothes She was hot - she had no place to go. The Rolling Stones are an English rock band formed in London in 1962. The first stable line-up consisted of bandleader Brian Jones guitar, harmonica, and keyboards, Mick Jagger lead vocals, harmonica, Keith Richards guitar, vocals, Bill Wyman bass, Charlie Watts drums, and Ian Stewart piano. That's simple: it is a prestige project, thanks to the collaboration of director Martin Scorsese. The very presence of the Academy Award-winning director, who has mined many memorable movie moments from the Stones often involving Gimme Shelter, which is conspicuous in its absence from this film and soundtrack, elevates Shine a Light far above the status of just another concert film. IMDb page for Shine A Light. Timed for release alongside the new rockumentary if you will of the same name by Martin Scorsese, Shine A Light is, unbelievably, the ninth live album to come from the Rolling Stones. As with many concert souvenirs these days the band sound great but there's a palpable sense of something missing. It's the visuals. You just know that Richards and Wood are throwing great shapes, but without the creased visogs leering at you in HDTV pixel perfection the riffs can be a little too slapdash and mechanical at times
