It's not so surprising given that the Rhinoceros' one member, David Picking, is clearly as much of a DJ Shadow fan as Thom Yorke and his merry men. The hip-hop evidence here is obviously indebted to the American's gothed-out approach to the wheels of steel, murky and hauntingly beautiful, and throughout this short but worthy album's seven tracks, that spirit runs rampant.
