Redback produce two tracks of undenible quality. Both tracks take you on a deep journey, almost soundtrack-esque in style, yet funky and atmospheric. And thoroughly modern.

Redback are a London-based crew that came together asa a production collective, and have been rollin it out for one and a half years. Mike B has produced a selection of remixes and original compositions for Stereolab label Dualphonic , Jazzman's Cherrystones , A.P.E's very own Mr. Chop . Popcorn Bubblefish are due to due be released on the Mo Wax label in the near future.
John Harris (the right hand man) has done various work and used to be in The Sandal. He pulled together to form this sample-free frenzy.
A.P.E. were particularly impressed by Redback's use of different styles and loose feel and more than happy to release this 12".

So in their quest for world domination they project their hypergroove.

Brought me here! Nothing else! "Oh but maybe his barking dog did" !?
Plus I would like to point out (I am not an ego person looking for reward- But humble. But it helps- but do not want an accolade) that I submitted the promo release sheet to the database.
I am very dyslexic so it took a long time in putting the wordages!
BUT it was worth it.
As I was writing the submission I was listening to these two tracks.
And of high cosmic order they were!
This label is seriously good, dope (in both the word and the smoking of!).
Prices are heavy.
Which is a shame as the producers will not reap the benefit.
BUT perhaps one day some positive luck will come they're way.
I hope so!
Because they deserve it!
Anyway I am being a bit A.S.D. Autistic Syndrome Disorder.
But A.P.E. (Abstract, Progressive, Experimental) is the label to check ;)

Incredible instrumental material by Redback. Both tracks worthily appear on The Gaslamp Killer's "I Spit On Your Grave" mix. This is a breakbeat junkies' oasis, stock-full of heavy drum arrangements and sultry ass sounds. More Than Human is comprised of a laidback, more downtempo melody riding along a spiraling bass line, while Brighter Day's African rhythm is supported by relentless percussive work. The end result: FUNKY! Nothing lesser than from the legendary Mike Burnham.
