Album

Greatest Hits Live is the third live album by the punk rock band the Ramones. It was released in 1996 on Radioactive Records. The album was recorded at The Academy in New York City on February 29, 1996. Its final two songs are bonus studio tracks that are covers, neither of which appeared on a Ramones album previously. is originally by Motörhead, from the group's album 1916 the song was written as a tribute to the Ramones. The other is Anyway You Want It, originally by The Dave. Glad to See You Go. Thomas Erdelyi, John Cummings, Douglas Glenn Colvin, Jeffrey Hyman. Havana Affair Live at Rainbow Theatre, London, 123177 2019 Remaster. Havana Affair. Douglas Glenn Colvin, John Cummings, Jeffrey Hyman, Thomas Erdelyi. Usually, Greatest Hits Live albums are the province of aging stars and reunited rock & roll oldies group, well past their prime. They make no attempt to play new material or reinterpret their older material, they just churn it out to please the crowd. The Ramones' Greatest Hits Live is no exception to the rule. This live album, their third, was recorded at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires on March 16, 1996, and features Joey, Johnny, Marky, and C. Ramone making fast work of classics like Blitzkrieg Bop, I Wanna Be Sedated, Sheena Is a Punk Rocker, Rockaway Beach, and Beat On the Brat, alongside lesser-known newer tunes such as Strength to Endure, Cretin Family, and The Crusher, all which come together as one beautiful assault. While not as seminal as Its Alive, Greatest Hits Live is an extremely entertaining race through punks most accessible and loved group of all time.
