This cut sounds a bit dull and harsh to my ears. This is due in no small part to the actual mixing in the first place; their self-titled was just a better mixed album and it transfers beautifully to whatever medium. Evil Empire is a bit more fussy . . .

Has anyone noticed that the vocals for both verses on "Roll Right" are not the same as on the original album? The lyrics on the liner notes have the correct words from the original, but on this record for some reason the lyrics are not the same. They sound like a rough draft and even have some of the lyrics from "Down Rodeo" on the them. All the instrumentation and even the chorus is correct, but the verses are not. That really bothers me. It's too bad because up until that point I was really happy with the overall sound quality and experience. How in the hell did that happen?

This is what brought me here. I was about to sing along, and then, it's not the song I know. But, I think it's cool that I have this copy, since it's another version of a great track.

It also happened with some Back To Black releases of In Utero with e Steve Albini mix on two tracks.

Same here. Actually, it seems like an error from the company but I do enjoy it!

I noticed this when I got my copy a couple weeks ago and found that someone looked into it: https://hate5six.com/rollrightI think this is kinda cool. I love hearing alternate takes and rarities so this is a rad Easter egg. I wonder if this should get marked as a mispress?

Well. It sounds nice but not amazing. Correct I would say. More mediums, especially for the bass guitar. It sounds maybe sharpier on some parts but less heavy and more flat.

has anyone had a chance to do a side by side on this compared to the MOV release? Just curious of sq...

robmausser Im trying to even understand what the hell a "MOV" release is? MOV is Music On Vinyl (label).

grand star
I've had great luck with MOV releases, usually high quality pressings and sound quality, sucks that they missed the mark on it.As for this release, I can't compare to the MOV. But I will say that the drums and vocals are very up front and center in this mix, very mid heavy mix. I like the presence of this recording, and the pressing quality is nice.

Last time I bought their debut album MOV release sounds sucks. Then I bought We Are Vinyl release and sounds awesome. I prefer this release (WAV) than MOV.

Olelifan
