Plebe Rude is a Brazilian punk rock band, formed in Brasília in 1981 by Phillipe Seabra vocals, guitar, Jander Ribeiro Ameba vocals, guitar, André Mueller X bass and Gutje Fortman drums. Their influences came from British and American punk rock bands such as The Clash, Stiff Little Fingers, The Undertones, Buzzcocks and Ramones. Their debut album, released in 1985, O Concreto Já Rachou, sold more than 250,000 copies, making them one of the bigger names of the Brazilian rock scene in the 80s. They began gaining popularity in the punk rock scene in 1982. They later went to São Paulo where they played with Ira and then to Rio de Janeiro where they played with Paralamas do Sucesso and Legião Urbana.
