Continuing their Landscape Music thread, Placement's second album 'Marine Africa' represents an overflight of the great continent's diverse water systems, with the tracks often running together to form a large scale perspective built of more landed individual parts. It features music ranging from minimal drones, to more complex hybrids of mixed electronica, found sound experimentation and the extensive use of field recordings. The album was originally released by Node Records in 2009, but was reissued in this form in 2012 by the Lime Green Yellow Recording Company along with two free extra tracks, 'Threading Warm Deltas' and 'Refraction in Tropical Clouds' - both remastered specifically for this imprint from the original Marine Africa sessions. The album in it's complete form is offered in this instance on a buyer name your price basis.

They typically combine found sounds, field recordings and an array of instruments both electronic and otherwise, with tape effects, prepared systems and improvised playing.
