Fathers And Sons - Muddy Waters. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Chess then rounded up Donald Duck Dunn, Otis Spann, and Sam Lay for the studio sessions. While many blues purists criticized Muddy Waters psychedelic album Electric Mud, Fathers and Sons was received more favorably since it avoided psychedelia, instead showcasing his classic sound of the 1950s. In many ways, the album anticipated his later, critically acclaimed, albums produced by Johnny Winter. Recording and production. Joining Muddy Waters guitarvocals and Otis Spann piano on the aptly titled Fathers and Sons are three Butterfield Blues Band alumni: Michael Bloomfield guitar, Sam Lay drums, and leader Paul Butterfield guitar. Further augmenting the personnel is Booker T. the MG's Donald Duck Dunn bass and Buddy Miles drums - who cameos during the live Got My Mojo Workin' finale. This all-star cast helps reclaim some of Waters' fire, which had been summarily doused on his previous outing Electric Mud - a tasteless pseudo-psychedelic disaster. In essence, Fathers and Sons is able to accomplish with musical integrity what Electric Mud couldn't through gimmickry.
