At least 6th WRC pressing - reissue of S/4147 and S/4148. Issued [at least] four times with the new "R" numbers by WRC, and new "bland-style" cover. Titles in English on sleeves, in French on labels - English version on sleeve given above. "R. 03471" & "R.03472" on separate sleeves, "R-03471" & "R-03472" on labels. Initially $8.50, but later pressings were $7.98 (not available separately). Not issued on cassette or in other formats. "Stereo" should be absent from post-1978 pressings, but this was not always carried out consistently.

Marie Claire Alain is one of the greatest organists of the 20th century, Jean-Francois Paillard and his orchestra made their reputation in hundreds of recordings of baroque and historical music. The organ here is somehow not as powerful as the one in Saint Donat where the original vinyl recording was made. The notes don't give the organ of this recording, and on the cover picture the organ is not the one of Saint Donat. These with the Paillard Orchestra are good historical recordings.
