Okay then - one of the most underrated bands ever? Probably. METAL SKULL are, for what i can tell, a band that takes equal parts from the classic metal world (solo-eque guitars, akin to Mercyful Fate in some parts) thrash, hardcore pummeling rhytms and the rabid vocals attack alà Warhead (kinda, they're more morbid and black-metal alike, like their fellow countrymen Sabbat, do you hear me?). Kinda like G.A.T.E.S. jamming with ABIGAIL on cocaine and who knows what else.
So, yeah, it rips. Heavy blackened hardcore before the term became fashionable and hip enough to describe hipsters pretending to be a hardcore band while stealing the imagery and the musical inaptness of early Darkthrone - ya know what you are, bitches. Add the sleaze of some Turbonegro-wannabe band (aka - the cover) the spandex, the leather, the make up and ya got METAL SKULL. Great record. They changed a bit their approach before the singer suicide. Bands of the same ilk can be PARASITE and DORAID, and the aforementioned GATES. Get this!
