The new wave synth pop collective Men Without Hats were formed in 1980 by brothers Ivan and Stefan Doroschuk. Ivan was the leader of the group, writing the majority of the songs and providing the lead vocals Stefan was the guitarist and other members changed frequently 1980, Doroschuk restarted Men Without Hats, giving the name to a new synthesizer-based electronic group that he formed with Jérémie Arrobas vocals, keyboards and his brothers Stefan Doroschuk bass and Colin Doroschuk guitar. Years earlier, while in high school, Arrobas and the Doroschuk brothers had played together in a short-lived band called Wave 21, along with drummer Igor. While lead single Where Do The Boys Go was a top 40 hit in Canada, the album failed to match the international success of Rhythm of Youth. Men Without Hats is a Canadian new wave rock and synthpop group from Montreal, Quebec, Canada that formed in 1977, achieving their most popularity in the 80s.
