Although this release looks like a single CD from the outside, only listing the first dozen songs, What We Do is actually a double-CD. The power rock trio of guitarist Scott McGill, electric bassist Michael Manring, and drummer Vic Stevens fill the first disc with their interpretations of a dozen jazz classics. However they often tear apart the pieces, playing high-powered rock and treating the songs as heavy metal or fusion jams. Sometimes they are respectful to the melodies, and at other times not.
