There use to be a notice on the inner sleeves of vinyl records in the late 70's to early 80's, "Copying is killing music."
This warning was given to deter people from making cassette recordings of vinyl records. A similar statement should now be issued regarding compilations like this offering of 'Maroon 5 - Singles', stating, "Music companies are killing music." What a woeful reproduction of Maroon 5 hit singles this is! The levels are all up and the vocals are distorted. Again I have to state, there should be a recall on this CD.

I am truly astounded at the sound quality of this compilation, it's not even a so called Remastered scam job which recording companies were thrashing out during the nuauties, which I have only recently learned to avoid buying (See Reviews for Bryan Adams Ultimate and Alison Moyet The Best Of - 25 Year's Revisited) No, this is your slapped up over compressed compilation, thrown together with no consideration given to proper sound levels and adjustment. This is an insult to the artist's music, the fan's, and the buying public.

It almost feels like this is now a ploy and conspiracy by the music business to kill off the production of CDs by giving the public sub - standard CDs so they will have to seek their music from other sources. There is no excuse for this. Since the Inception of the CD we were all lead to believe that we, the music buying public, would recive from music companies the very finest sound quality reproduction in this new digital age, but it was a lie. It's so blant now that the love for music is now replaced by love for money and the manipulation of the masses.

To think these companies employ sound engineers to produce such crap is so shameful in this day and age. I could produce a better quality sounding product myself with only a basic version of Audacity on my laptop at home than with whats been offered here. It's truly a travesty folk's, their killing music and they know it. ????
