Album

Lô Borges is the debut solo album by Brazilian songwriter Lô Borges. While recording Clube da Esquina alongside Milton Nascimento and Beto Guedes, Lô Borges was pressured by Odeon Records to release a solo album. Borges, only nineteen years old at the time, wrote the album very quickly, sometimes writing a song in the morning and recording it that night. The album did not achieve much success at its release, although it gained cult status in the following decades. After the release of this album. Lô Borges Born Salomão Borges Filho on January 10, 1952 is a Brazilian songwriter, singer and guitarist. He was one of the founders of Clube da Esquina, a group of musicians originating in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. He co-authored with Milton Nascimento the album Clube da Esquina in 1972, which was a milestone in Brazilian popular music. Among his most famous compositions are Paisagem da Janela, Para Lennon e McCartney, Clube da Esquina No. 2, Trem de Doido and O Trem Azul. Considered an important record in the history of Brazilian music, it features arrangements by Eumir Deodato and Wagner Tiso, and conductions by Paulo Moura. Despite popular belief, the photo on the album cover does not depict Borges and Nascimento as children. It was taken by a member of the collective, Brazilian photographer Cafi Carlos da Silva Assunção. Lô Borges. And for many years after the fact, people thought the photo was in fact Nascimento and Borges as young boys. But he paid his bills by gigging in clubs at night, where he forged a close friendship with the Borges brothers, Márcio and his kid brother, Lô. With Marcio, he caught Francois Truffauts nouvelle vague classic Jules et Jim, watching it again and again until the last showing. Ueledavi
too bad it is an abomination of the original sound on the LP. Mr. Bongo has them up on their European website. Much higher quality

Duktilar
Is the sound quality on this version any good? 4MWB aren't exactly known for quality vinyl pressings.

Abuseyourdna
it is not a bad pressing, but compared to the Polysom reissue it sounds quite dull

Grotilar
it's not bad sounding for 4MWB... such a great record

Moonshaper
I'm curious about this to really want this but haven't found any info on the sound quality of this pressing
