This was a pretty big tune up in the Northwest. Nice breakbeats and great use of the Sueno Latino piano break. Nice historic tune to have in your record box.

LTJ Bukem is a pioneer when it comes to all things drum + bass, jungle etc... This is Danny's first 12" - a mixture of house, jungle and breakbeat. A slow build up with slick beats (for the time) which then eases down into a Sueno Latino style piano break with the vocals 'do you wanna have a good time... a good time tonight'. More keys + chords follow over a tough, choppy beat. Looking back now, signature Bukem with high production and innovative ideas for it's release date. Didn't get a huge amount of exposure and the only mix I can recall it on was a DJ Dougal, Dreamscape set. If you like Bukem's stuff - it's a great piece of vinyl to own. I fortunately bought a copy from a DJ so it's in mint condition... I paid £16 in 2016!

This had more in common with house then jungle - yeah the breakbeats give it that proto-jungle feel but that's in hindsight. What I would say is that this was definitive UK. There was Orbital, 808 State and Prodigy et al, and they were all making that ...er, logical progression within the dance scene

Superb three tracker! Logical Progression (Alternate Mix) fits in nicely to most sets. Very spacey and ahead of it's time. Logical Progression on the A side is very 1992 IMO (even though the release is 1991). Perfect vibe with soaring strings and great female vocal/piano sequence that comes around two minutes in. "Do wanna have a good time? Good time, do you wanna good time? Good time tonight!" Of course you do- and you will with this track!
