Love and Rockets is the fourth studio album by English alternative rock band Love and Rockets released in 1989 by Beggar's Banquet Records on Cassette, Vinyl, and Compact Disc. Love and Rockets dismissed Earth, Sun, Moon's folk sound in favour of a stronger rock sound. Hints of the band's former psychedelic and gothic rock sound remains. Chief songwriters Daniel Ash and David J had begun concentrating strictly on their own material rather than writing together on Earth, Sun, Moon. But the video shot to accompany the conceit is mad brilliance personified, while The Haunted Fishtank titled for a British slang name for the television also percolates with a series of specially shot interludes popping up between the main attraction's videos to inject a little more random bubble action into your life. Powerhouse riffs and terrific, viscid songwriting propelled them to popularity after their origin band Bauhaus departed with lead singer Peter Murphy. Taking over as frontman, Daniel Ash's vivacious, Gothic voice complemented the band's secretly dark songs. And then there were videos.
