Man, it's so funny to me how so many kids know thousands upon thousands of techno releases (from '95 to now) but not a GOD DAMN one of 'em knows anything about Lipps, Inc.! Steven Greenberg was one of THE PIONEERING INNOVATORS of "techno" music! Every last track on this reeks of brilliant technical expertise not only in production and engineering but in musicianship as well. These are tightly produced tracks that are laser-precise and top quality. PERIOD! His later works - these are arranged chronologically - especially display his "techno savvy" and could easily fit into a "DJ set" of house/trance/techno/acid music. The last was one of the period's top "break-beat" songs. Involved production and fantastic musicianship lift this one WAY above the rest of the "heap" (of SHIT!). Listen, and learn a thing or twenty.
