I must say I was never a fan of Orquesta La Mulenze, frankly because I never had heard their music with the exception of Filomena. After listening to this album, it has become one of my favorites. The band is a great mix of hot, swinging salsa with a touch of romanticism. No hay manera Filomena, Al Pasar los Años and Tormenta are all fantastic, although think my favorite is Anoche Aprendi. It is a greatest hits, albeit, it is still a fantastic album you really MUST have. Pedro Brull is not as a one-dimensional singer as I originally thought. The first compilation of Mulenze hits include some material from their first DC album No Hay Manera Filomena and El Profeta, but suffers from lack of liner notes and information. The sound quality is passable, but, like all four of their earlier recordings, it deserves to be reissued and remastered to restore the band's great sound to full glory.
