When I first saw the album cover of Krakataus Tharsis Montes, Apogean Tide , I instantly thought it must be some sort of re-release. It looks like its from the late 70s or early 80s, and to me, it sounds this way too. It has a different type of soul, a different type of groove and feel. Music from then was made to last for a really long time, and I get this feeling when hearing Krakatau. I wish the songs would just keep on going so I wouldnt have to keep. Krakatoa, or Krakatau Indonesian: Krakatau, is a caldera in the Sunda Strait between the islands of Java and Sumatra in the Indonesian province of Lampung. The caldera is part of a volcanic island group Krakatoa Archipelago comprising four islands: two of which, Lang and Verlaten, are remnants of a previous volcanic edifice destroyed in eruptions long before the famous 1883 eruption another, Rakata, is the remnant of a much larger island destroyed in the 1883 eruption.
