Du & jag döden Swedish for You & Me Death is the sixth studio album by Swedish alternative rock band Kent. The album was released on March 15, 2005 through RCA Records and Sony BMG. It is the final studio album to feature rhythm guitarist Harri Mänty, who left the band during the recording of Tillbaka till samtiden 2007. Du & jag döden debuted at number one in Sweden and Norway, and at number two in Denmark and Finland. As of 2007 the album had sold 220,000 copies worldwide. Du & jag döden means You and I Death, and it took me about two listens to fall in love with it. Palace & Main and Max 500 are the rockin' standout singles no doubt, though my new favorites on the album are the quieter Den Döda Vinkeln and Klåparen. When Du & Jag Doden opened up with the powerful and catchy bass lines of 400 Slag, I knew this would be a good album. It harks back to the days of Isola and Hagnesta Hill while still showing growth and progress. Kent has improved with each album to the point where they are now one of the best bands around.
