Siége Perilous is the third full-length album released by the power metal band Kamelot. It was released on August 4, 1998, through Noise Records. It is the first album with Roy Khan Conception on vocals and Casey Grillo on drums, and is the final album to feature David Pavlicko on keyboards. In Arthurian legend, the Siege Perilous, otherwise known as The Seat Perilous, is the seat at The Round Table reserved for the knight who would quest for and return the Holy Grail. Adhering more to a classic Euro-metal style than many of their peers, Kamelot's Siege Perilous nevertheless captures the mournful, epic feel of much '90s Scandinavian metal. I can't say that Siége Perilous had great production values to begin with, but I've always liked how the album sounds and the slightly lower-end production kind of enhances it in a weird way. Again, I wasn't really looking for instruments to sound better and crisper as much as I just wanted a leap in the volume
