Kaikhosru Shapurji Sorabji born Leon Dudley Sorabji 14 August 1892 15 October 1988 was an English composer, music critic, pianist and writer. According to Michael Habermann, this manifests itself in the following ways: highly supple and irregular rhythmic patterns, abundant ornamentation, an improvisatory and timeless feel, frequent polyrhythmic writing and the vast dimensions of some of his compositions.
