FACT 10 · A Factory Records Product.This record was delivered to the (then) Radio Northland 1ZN station (part of the Radio New Zealand network) in Whangarei (approx 100 miles north of Auckland, New Zealand where RTC where based) between September and November of 1979, as one of many promo records for selected airplay. The up-loader's sister worked at the station until early 1980 when she moved to Australia (why the dates are so definitive). The record was then given to, and has been owned by, the uploader ever since.

The vinyl pressing is essentially identical to the RTC first NZ retail release here.

It maintains the same labels, spine ridge spacing and structure, track listing and vinyl weight.

It differs in the following key respects:

The "Inside" label is not printed on the LP.

The matrix runout notations add .. (Dot Dot) after "FACT 10 X" on both sides. Additionally there is an Cyrillic reversed R directly opposite each standard matrix runout.

The outer sleeve is a textured sleeve. It is believed this was a specially commissioned trial that RTC New Zealand did and found to be too expensive, then used up the trial stock in a limited promotional release.

This also confirms it was not simply a reused Garrod & Lofthouse or other 1979 release textured outer sleeve, as there is no additional unique identification of any kind.
