I’m genuinely curious as to why this compilation has an average price at almost $40, yet you can get all Perry-era albums for about a 1/4 of price of this album. Was it because this has been long out of print until recently? Or am I missing something here?

I paid 12$ w/shipping for my copy of Escape. (An absolute steal in my books!)

I thought everybody had this album in their collection, but I assumed nobody bought it for more than like $3.

It was released in 1988, when CDs were getting a massive push from labels as they moved away from vinyl. Many late 80s/early 90s LPs hold relatively high value due to scarcity and, in the case of Journey, newfound popularity in the last 8-10 years. Try to find copies of Michael Jackson “Dangerous” or Tom Petty “Wildflowers” and you’ll be shocked at the price. That said, I think journey blows and I can’t imagine paying more than $1 any Journey album, especially this one.
