John Martyn's 1971 album Bless the Weather made me a life-long fan. His previous recording with wife Beverley, Stormbringer, brought him to my attention. I own all of John Martyn's albums and I would rank Bless The Weather as one of his best. There is a certain back to the roots feel to this disc Martyn had yet to fully delve into his exploratory period of recording his guitar with the echoplex, and this album is largely acoustic.
