J'arrive English: I'm coming is Jacques Brel's tenth studio album. Originally released in 1968 by Barclay 80373, the album was reissued on 23 September 2003 as part of the 16-CD box set Boîte à Bonbons by Barclay 980 816-3. Tracks 19 constituted the original 1968 album. Tracks 1011 were added to the album when it was reissued as part of the 16-CD box set Boîte à Bonbons. Jacques Brel composer, vocals. François Rauber orchestra conductor, musical director. Jacques is the fifth studio album by the British singer-songwriter Marc Almond. It was released in December 1989. The album is a tribute to the Belgian singer-songwriter Jacques Brel and was instigated by Almond's collaboration with Paul Buck, who adapted Brel's original non-English lyrics specifically for Almond. The songs for the album were recorded at Milo Studios, London, over four years. Almond was accompanied both by his assembled band comprising La Magia and Willing Sinners members Annie. Volume six in Barclay's career-consuming Jacques Brel CD series, J'Arrive is dominated by the 1968 Jacques Brel LP, which was the singer's last set prior to his retirement from active recording. Nine of the 19 songs are drawn from that set, although a dispassionate ear might well determine them to be the weakest on display, utterly out-performed by cuts drawn from elsewhere around Brel's last year's worth of releases.
