The Swing is Australian rock band INXS's fourth studio album, released in April 1984. It peaked at number one on the Kent Music Report Albums Chart for five non-consecutive weeks from early April to mid-May 1984. The lead single Original Sin was recorded in New York City with Nile Rodgers and featured Daryl Hall on backing vocals. They began playing covers in Western Australian pubs and clubs, occasionally playing some of their original music. Nowhere is that more telling then in the lead song on the disc, the bittersweet tale of interracial romance Original Sin. My frustrating experience with The Swing goes further. I plan to take my vinyl record of this album and carefully transfer it to CD, having experience doing so. When it sounds perfect and as close to how the original producers intended it I will then encode my transferred CD to Mp3 for my collection.
