Is there a version of this disc that only has one graphics track or is my DVD player just shit at playing CD+G discs?

Dawncrusher
I know I'm 3 years late, but I'd like to mention that some DVD players have the capability of reading the graphics off of CD+G discs.. but I do not know of any models that have this capability, unfortunately. Some video game consoles, if you don't know this (do forgive me if you do), are able to read the graphics from CD+G discs such as the 3DO (which I own), the Sega Saturn, Sega CD and even the Philips CD-I. I think there's more but I cannot recall at this time.Have an excellent one!

DVD players cannot read the graphics on CD+G discs. Onemoreword.

Does anyone out there have a "CD+R" Version of this release? Instead of the "Compact Disc Graphics" logo, I have a "Compact Disc Recordable" logo and only an alpha-numerical string etched on the front hub portion of the disc. This is the first time I ever receive such a disc! I bought it from an Amazon.ca Aftermarket Seller (although, a very reputable one: nearly 10 years of purchases from him) and there was no mention of this being a CDr. Everything else pretty much looks like the US Tommy Boy "9 25691-2 CD+G" release. Is it also potentially a "Bootleg" or something else "unofficial"? Everything looks legit except for that CD+R logo, which I've never seen on a retail disc before.Any help would greatly appreciated, thanks!Marc S.

Thanks Fehercsongor, much appreciated! I was not familiar with "Manufactured On Demand" discs when I posted my query. Again, thanks for replying!

I got the same release from Amazon.co.uk, it's a "manufactured on demand" release. It has no CD-G data and I wanted a "real" version so I picked up another copy from here as well.

I have a Canadian vinyl copy and I noticed the other day the when held up to a light source it is a transparent grey colour. I was wondering if they were all like that or not?

I got this album a little late of the game, and being a huge fan of Depeche Mode and the like, one cannot see InfoSoc as a "great" band, but I will say that this album was way ahead of its time. The hit "What's On Your Mind (Pure Energy)" should be on everyone's hits of the 80's list. And the weird thing is the technology involved with the production of this CD was interesting; I popped this CD into my 3DO (gaming system, which has since been extinct for at least 5 years) and it freaked me out that a band took the time to create this (childlike, yet) interactive karaoke and fact machine that was on the screen before me. I will never forget that, and it adds depth to this 80's club band.
