The Gabrieli and Perti sonatas were performed from handwritten scores made by Gerald Conrath. The Corelli sonata owes its performance here to research and discovery in the archives of San Petronio by the musicologist Norman Cherry, who copied the score from the manuscript, and the two Torelli performances likewise are based on material studied in this Bologna church by Mr. Cherry. The G. numbers attached to the Torelli titles pertain to Franz Giegling's thematic index of Torelli's trumpet music.

Die Zagreber Solisten: Chamber orchestra founded in Zagreb, Croatia, in 1953 through the auspices of Zagreb Radiotelevision, under the artistic leadership of the Italian cellist and conductor, Antonio Janigro. After Janigro left the ensemble in 1968, the group was led first by their concertmaster, Dragutin Hrdjok, and then by their longtime artistic director and concertmaster, Tonko Ninic. In 1997, Anđelko Krpan became concertmaster, and in 2002, Karlo Slobodan Fio, took over as artistic director of the ensemble. Since 2006, the concertmaster and artistic leader has been Borivoj Martinic-Jerci. Antonio Vivaldi. Perfomance ideas and standards have changed much since 1961 these are lush, gooey performances with a modern orchestra. Yet they sparkle with charm and fluidity. And Anton Heiller was a great organist listen to his continuo Not authentic, but snappy and charming, making Haydn's all-too-well known concerto sound as it did back in '61 when it was fresh.
