Afterwards, we laid down harmonicas, shakers and claps, upright, guitjo, melodica, and back-ups, mostly in that order. I've only done one review on here - for my own band of course! - but holy crap this is my new favorite record, I lucked out on it at the local flea market last year. They are like bluegrass folk with dark/satirical/funny lyrics that address some super-serious stuff. When I first played it the first minute reminded me of like REM and someone else I don't like and I almost turned it off, then the next verse said "baby come do shrooms with me" and my ears perked up and I'm so glad. Maybe they're a little like Neutral Milk Hotel but that's not really right, though the musicians are as accomplished. The vocal (male) is great, scratchy and a bit forced. I want to post some of these songs on youtube (Ima Killer, Father McKee, Transvestites Can Be Cannibals Too) but I also want them to make every dollar they can because they are amazing and I WANT MORE. And I want to meet them and hang out, I know they would like me, we would have a great time. Why don't they make keyboards with heart emojis??
