Genaside II are a bit like the Oasis of Big Beat, especially evident in the aftermath of The Urban High Festival. The day before, they are chilling at the open bar, tribal rhythms pumping in the background. Rumor has it that they then looted the hotel bar without paying the bill, of course then came back with a group of girls for another round. In other words, these four are a handful. In 1991 on the single Hellraiser, Genaside II used a break that later became famous through Firestarter. That money wasn't even enough to buy cheese, because I wrote it with Ray Keith, a drum & bass producer But Prodigy deserve their success. Genaside II was a British electronic group active in the 1990s and early 2000s. Their music started as rave, developing into jungle, breakbeat and big beat.
