Funkdoobiest was an American hip hop group from Los Angeles, California, United States, composed of rappers Jason Son Doobie Vasquez, Tyrone Tomahawk Funk Pacheco and DJ Ralph Tha Funky Mexican Medrano. They are members of the Soul Assassins collective. The group has released four studio albums. It was released by Epic Records in July 4, 1995. This was the final album for the back-up MC and hypeman, Tomahawk Funk, because he left group after this release. The album contains the famous and controversial track Superhoes , which also appeared in the soundtrack to the film Friday, starring s Ice Cube. ET 64195. there are way more pressings than this and the music on vinyl release. my copy pretty match up to this with the catalogue number and the runout grooves but i'm pretty sure mine is not the original. my copy weights about 185gr and the sound is pretty good imo. A more laid-back album than their first, Brothas Doobie also deals with a few social problems, an improvement over the debut's continuous self-praising. Track Listing.
