Is My Lady - Frank Sinatra, Quincy Jones And His Orchestra. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Is My Lady is 57th and final solo studio album by Frank Sinatra, released in 1984 and produced by Quincy Jones. While the album was Sinatra's last excluding the Duets albums, he recorded five further songs, only four of which have been officially released. The album came after an album of duets between Sinatra and Lena Horne, instigated by Jones, was abandoned after Horne developed vocal problems and Sinatra, committed to other engagements, couldn't wait to record. Under the direction of arrangerproducer Quincy Jones, the album incorporated more synthesizers and slick production techniques than any previous Sinatra album, but the result usually doesn't sound forced, especially on the hit title song. When the album does fail, it is because Jones' overly ambitious and commercial production - such as the insistent dance beat of How Do You Keep the Music Playing - prevents the song from taking root. Frank Sinatra Featuring Woody Herman And The Young Thundering Herd. I watched how Quincy Jones made this album with Frank Sinatra, so I knew that this was the last time Mr. Sinatra was in a recording studio with some of the great jazz muscians. How Do You Keep the Music Playing is just beautiful. His updated rendition of Mack the Knife is pure enjoyment. If you love Sinatra and want some different songs in addition to his classics, I highly recommend L. is My Lady. Read more. 2 people found this helpful
