I already had Timepieces so when I saw Vol. 2 well, I had to have it. I was not disappointed with this 70's live album, as always very different from studio and some later concerts and a great addition to my collection. Read more. Neither a career retrospective nor a rarities collection, Time Pieces, Vol. 2: Live in the '70s is an odd record. Featuring a selection of material recorded in concert at various points in the '70s, the album never gives an accurate impression of Clapton's progression as a guitarist - it's sequenced haphazardly, with tracks falling outside of strict chronological order. Casual listeners may find that Time Pieces, Vol. 2 doesn't fulfill their needs the way its predecessor did, but die-hard fans will find certain tracks to be of interest.
