Посмотреть сведения об участниках альбома, рецензии, композиции и приобрести альбом 1981 Vinyl от Steppin' Out на ' Out is a compilation album of songs featuring Eric Clapton, released in 1981. It contains eight of the 12 tracks that appeared originally on John Mayall's Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton in 1966, plus a MayallClapton single, Lonely Years, two tracks Third Degree and Calcutta Blues from a 1966 recording session by Champion Jack Dupree on which Clapton played guitar, and Pretty Girls Everywhere, which is from an Otis Spann session, also featuring Clapton. This is not, strictly speaking, a John Mayall album, but rather a various artists album containing among its 14 selections six recorded by Mayall, plus four tracks by Otis Spann, two by Champion Jack Dupree, and two by Curtis Jones. The three expatriate Americans had been recorded in sessions with British backup musicians, including Eric Clapton and Mayall himself. Eric Clapton. Album: Steppin' Out. Style: Blues Rock. I have now worn out the first vinyl LP that I bought, and was going on my second LP, when I decided to buy the CD version. The album is probably not worth four stars because of some of the tracks, but I still have to give it four out of five, partly because of the album's importance to me, and because of some great performances here. However, the great performances by Otis Spann and Champion Jack Dupree make this album worth every penny. Otis was one of the absolutely best blues pianists, and a fine vocalist, too
