Father, Son, Holy Ghost is the second and final studio album by San Francisco rock band Girls, released September 13, 2011 on True Panther Sounds in the United States, September 12, 2011 on FantasytrashcanTurnstile in Europe, September 7, 2011 in Japan on FantasytrashcanTurnstile and September 14 in Mexico on Arts & Crafts México. Three singles were released from the album Vomit, Honey Bunny and My Ma, the latter of which was released exclusively on vinyl with a limited 1000 copies in print. I do not own this music. Interesting note is that Miles Davis too was right into this band at the time so I guess I am in good company This is not prototypical German underground prog but very much eastern world influenced raga psych prog rock best way I can describe. EMBRYO utilize a fantastic range of instruments with marimba, vibraphone, flutes, saxophone, violin, a very versatile percussion arsenal on hand. Embryo Format: Audio CD. 1972 was a bunker crop year for the band EMBRYO. After their second album, RACHE, and the nearly complete change in line up, the band started to record four albums in this one year period, which were truly the best krautrockjazz fusion ever made. Unlike OPAL or RACHE, the long rock like entended jamming, and psychedelic qualities are not quite as evident. At least not in the overt way seen with the bizarre mix on the RACHE album that preceeds FSAHG. Xhol's Fischer had left Embryo, and Christian Burchard, along with Hoffmann on sax and violin, started to work with two great guitar players. Your feedback.
