It combines some total dance floor pumpers like Contact. Interceptor, Hybrid and Survivors with new material like Zanti-Misfit and Purple Squirt Jam. I remember specifically listening to 'Zanti-Misfit' in my highschool library on a computer with some headphones when some kid rushed up to the computer and frantically tried to turn it down. This is probably my favourite release from Eat Static. It combines some total dance floor pumpers like Contact..., Interceptor, Hybrid and Survivors with new material like Zanti-Misfit and Purple Squirt Jam. I remember specifically listening to 'Zanti-Misfit' in my highschool library on a computer with some headphones when some kid rushed up to the computer and frantically tried to turn it down. Turned out I wasn't able to turn down the volume on the computer--but what a perfect track to make someone lose their shit over! But seriously, between Abduction, Implant and Science of The Gods this is still my favourite Eat Static disc.

One of my most listenable Eat Static albums... Hard kicking acid beats, mesmerizing noisssses, good recording, fantastic live mixes... Wish them to live forever!

If you have been the least bit keen on Eat Static, then my money goes that you have countless times heard how attending their live performance is one of must do duties before having the misfortune of dying.
Anyways, if you are tough to convince, I urge you to listen to "B-world". To begin with, I never liked or respected Eat Static to the extent I do today, but all that chnaged after the running time of this collection of their live recordings was up. Genres become irrelevant. Tastes are not discussed. Production techniques are not topic of discussion any longer. What you are left with, then, is simply fantastic music.
On a bad day, Eat Static sound twice as good live as they do on any album. Out of this universe acid leads, stomping techno kicks, erratic drum 'n' bass percussion, weird noises and effects created God almighty only knows how, psy trance, ambience, break beat - you name it and it is all here! Only if you have heard these tracks in their original album versions will you fully appreciate how madly and skillfully have they been distorted, tweaked, re-arranged and flipped upside down twice before redoing it all over.
Have faith in me on this one. You need to hear it, not beacuse it is the best release Eat Static have ever recorded (that title is held by their debut album "Abduction), but because it remains to my knowledge the only place where you can come close to remotely experiencing what these two aliens sound like live. So, hear it out, check their tour dates, and get on that bus, man!

Pigeonholing Eat Static will be even harder after taking a listen to this album, a collection of various live performances recorded across the UK. Fusing bubbling acid, frenetic breakbeats, stomping 4/4 grooves, moaning basslines, metallic screeching noises over whirling crescendos and morphing synth fireworks, this album bounces all over the musical spectrum, yet it manages to stay on point and focused for almost the entire album, all while retaining the group's trademarked weirdness. My personal highlight would have to be "Purple Squirt Jam", a 10 minute long psychedelic onslaught complete with a frenzied 303-section to die for.

B-World ends up being a great document of the madness the group can conjure up at a live show, and should spur the interest for their earlier material as well.
