This documentary includes footage from Ruth Ellington Boatwright's birthday party for her late brother, interviewes with a number of jazz musicians, writers and experts, Dr. Billy Taylor's appearance at the October 20, 2004 meeting of The Duke Ellington Society, along with performances by Duke Ellington & His Orchestra during a 1968 concert in Mexico, plus the film about the composer's piece "The Mexican Suite."
