In fact, the leads on this album sound like Glenn Tipton gone br00tal. Not to mention that they fucking WORK too. The band is from Sweden, but don't be expecting any gothenburg to come flying out of your speakers. Drumwork on this album is done nicely as well. Like An Everflowing Stream is the proof of evolution in metal in a very good way. Taking elements of thrash and turning then into something more agressive and mean. Since i listened to this one, i knew there was another world in metal universe. Dismember-as we Americans say-took the ball and ran with it they penned crushing tunes in direct correspondence, and competition, with the already thriving American death metal scene. And the world took notice. Any doubt is quashed: Like an Everflowing Stream is a towering masterwork and purified evolution of the Swedish sound-the peanut butter to Entombeds jelly, and a long overdue Decibel Hall of Fame recipient.
