Album

Epicloud is the fifteenth studio album by Canadian musician Devin Townsend, and the fifth album in the Devin Townsend Project series. The album was released on September 18, 2012, in North America, and September 24, 2012, in Europe, through his independent record label HevyDevy Records and InsideOut Music. In an interview with Soundwave TV, Townsend discussed how Epicloud was conceived: In this sort of process of writing that I've discovered that I guess I'm capable of now, with a sober frame of mind. Also known as Epicloud CD2. I'm once again amazed to see this hadn't been uploaded in its entirety yet. Every song seems to be out there individually free to Devin Townsend Project Epicloud Effervescent, True North and more. 13 tracks 49:53. He continued, Over the past couple of years, I thought, 'OK, I've gotta write this next 'Ziltoid' thing I'm inspired to make th. This article is about the album. In an interview with Soundwave TV, Townsend stated. Epicloud September 2012. The Devin Townsend Project. September 2012. Epicloud is what I believe the result of all of these albums are to this point. Truly, more pedestrian and less art than the others in many ways, it nonetheless flies in the face of expectation and I believe, hopefully that will end up defining it. I believe that yes, there will be some people that cry foul and think that this album is too simple, but in my mind, its past due to sacrifice some of that expectation into the furnace of rock. I wrote this record for others, while writing for myself. In the face of negativity. Devin Townsend Project. Released September 18, 2012. Epicloud Tracklist. Effervescent by Devin Townsend Lyrics. Kingdom is a re-recorded version of a song from the Devin Townsend album Physicist. The track Heatwave closely resembles Eddie Rabbitt - I Love a Rainy Night. The track Take My Ego closely resembles Jennifer Rush - The Power of Love. Devin Townsend Project - Epicloud review: A tale full of sound and nothing. Take Ocean Machine: Biomech, for instance, an eclectic if slightly uneven solo album that Townsend released in mid-1997. The records progressive-cum-ambient style had its feet thoroughly embedded in a clearly expressed desire to add something to Townsends repertoire, yet it might have been quite unremarkable to the casual eye had it appeared on music store shelves all on its lonesome, like a single passenger casually alighting at Kwinitsa station from the VIA Rail to Vancouver
