Though on the duos 2005 album, Back to the Circle Okka Disk, they opted for terse exchanges that tended to investigate specific ideas, the first disc of the new album mirrors a more organic, episodic approach where each participant trusts in his ability to push each encounter forward. Eikosi engages in seemingly endless twists and turns with natural ebb-and-flow machinations that for 28 gripping minutes give the sense that the ideas sprout out of one another. Tim Daisy & Ken Vandermark duo It is free and it funks. It is jazz in it's purest form: two artists enjoying the fun of lyricism interacting with rhythm, conjuring up emotions of happiness, but also of sadness. The subtly is not only in the finesse of the emotional or sonic shadings that you get with lots of new music today, but also in the straightforward improvisation, with the subtlety being fully present in both musicians' maximal use of their skills, with ear-candy to boot. 5 track album. Dave Rempis: American free jazz saxophonist. He plays alto, tenor and baritone saxophone. Antiphony, Thief of Sleep, Don't Trade Here и другие песни
