David Dave Bickler born March 31, 1953 is an American musician, best known as the lead singer for the rock band Survivor from 1978 until 1983, particularly on the 1 U. hit Eye of the Tiger. In addition to his wide vocal range, his trademark look included a beret. Bickler would go on to provide the vocals in advertisements, including Bud Light's Real Men of Genius TV and radio commercials. Dave Bickler started his musical career as lead singer of 1970s rock group Jamestown Massacre Billboard Top 100 song Summer Sun but is best known as the vocalist for the Grammy Award winning rock band Survivor singing on their massive 1 hit Eye of the Tiger. The song went on to be one of the most downloaded songs and propelled Daves career when Sylvester Stallone wanted the song featured in the 1982 blockbuster movie Rocky III. Dave was always my favorite Survivor lead singer and Ive followed his career over the years. This album is well done. He isnt gimicky, he isnt trying too hard, hes just staying true to himself and his classic rock sound
