The deCOMPOSITION process Damian Catera uses is not as lugubrious as it sounds, nor is his music, despite strong affinities to dark ambient and harsh noise. This album presents four improvised pieces of 15 minutes or more in duration. Three of them were captured during a tour of Eastern Europe in December 2001 the fourth was committed to tape at home a week before. In all of them Catera used the same setup: an electric guitar, a radio, and a computer running MAXMSP patches programmed by the artist.
