Crush 40 was a self-titled album released by Japanese-American rock band Crush 40 on the 18th of March 2003. It is considered an international version of the bands Japanese exclusive album Thrill of The Feel, as it contains all the songs that album did excluding the instrumental tracks and adding three new tracks Live and Learn Main Theme of Sonic Adventure 2, It Doesnt Matter Theme of Sonic in Sonic Adventure and Escape From The City Theme for Opening. Crush 40 is the eponymous second album by the band formerly known as Sons of Angels. It is essentially a reissue of their first album for a western audience, removing the instrumental tracks and adding in the main theme to Sonic Adventure 2, Live and Learn. There are also two bonus tracks, It Doesn't Matter from the first Sonic Adventure and Escape from the City. While both are Jun Senoue compositions, neither are actually Crush 40 songs. The group consists of guitarist and composer Jun Senoue and vocalist Johnny Gioeli, although Senoue has featured other lead vocalists on a Crush 40 album. Crush 40 is best known for their contributions to the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series. Senoue is employed by Sega as a composer and sound director, and has worked with Sega as a composer since 1993.
