Album

is the debut album released by the Swiss thrash metal band Coroner on 1 June 1987. This album marks the first chapter of the band's progression thus it is less focused and is characterized by raw speed and power save for the instrumentals, very typical of thrash metal at this time. All songs written and arranged by Ron Broder & Tommy Vetterli, except where noted All lyrics written by Marky Edelmann, except where noted. Band Members. Ron Broder as Ron Royce - Vocals, Bass. Coroner is the penultimate release by the Swiss thrash metal band Coroner. It is technically a compilation album, although it features new material as well as selected songs from the band's previous albums. It is also regarded as their final album, even though it was succeeded by a final compilation of unreleased material in 1996, titled The Unknown Unreleased Tracks 1985-95. The band chose to go into the studio for the last time, instead of releasing a Greatest Hits compilation, even though they. Coroner discography all. Punishment for Decadence 1988. Type: Full-length. More By Coroner. album represented a pretty. album represented a pretty inconspicuous start for Swiss trio Coroner - one whose modest ambitions they would quickly outdistance on their way to morphing into one of thrash metal's all-time most adventurous bands. Coroner - . OldSchool Maniac. Coroner's first album, originally released in 1987. Tommy Vetterli is an amazing guitarist and he proves that on the album, especially on the instrumental Nosferatu, with his breakneck riffs and solos. His technical and one of a kind stlye of playing defines, along with Ron Broders prodigious bass skills, the sound of this record. Coroner would improve later on this, getting only better and better with the run of time, but its worth considering that not everything was perfect from the start. In brief, this the first big step of Coroner into the Thrash Metal scene, and its certainly a successful one. Coroner, in my opinion, have always been an example of a band who were excellent from the word go. is the quintessential example of a band whom had a distinct sound and style down from the debut, onward. Its not as outwardly progressive as the albums following it, instead opting for a more straightforward thrash metal sound. With that said, even though this is their most straight-forward album, the bands ingenuity for sheer excellence in songwriting, combined with the astounding musicianship and the taste of which said musicianship is executed makes this an endlessly addictive album
