Two years removed from their previous Run For Cover LP, Everybody Is Going To Heaven, Citizens perspective is far less sublime. As You Please is a confrontational record, incapable of turning a blind eye toward the inescapable strife. As You Please is the third studio album by American rock band Citizen. The album was released on October 6, 2017 through Run for Cover Records. On October 24, 2018, Citizen uploaded a song that was not used on the album, Open Your Heart, through the Run For Cover Records YouTube channel. In May 2018, the group embarked on a co-headlining US tour with Basement they were supported by Pronoun and Souvenirs. For their third album As You Please, Citizen is looking inward. While the cathartic melancholy of their debut Youth and the jarring intensity of 2015s Everybody is Going to Heaven are both present, the most welcome addition to Citizens arsenal on As You Please is the range of auxiliary instrumentation and sonic experimentation on the album.
