Once one finds one's perfect volume-level that preserves softer moments & takes the 'bite' out of louder moments, these 2 CDs are unsurpassed in emotional integrity & infinite beauty. I have had a few Chopin Nocturnes in my collection e. Barenboim, Pires, and Ashkenazy and they are all wonderful recordings. Rubinstein's recording does give me a new perspective and an unique Nocturne sound which is why I highly recommend adding this set to your collection.
