Junior Sweet ジュニアスウィート, Junia Sūīto is the sixth studio album by Chara, which was released on September 21, 1997. It debuted at 1 on the Japanese Oricon album charts for two weeks, and charted in the top 200 for 26 weeks. The album is Chara's most popular, and eventually sold 1,055,000 units in Japan. The album was released at the height of Chara's popularity, after starring in the movie Swallowtail Butterfly and singing the hit theme song for the movie Swallowtail Butterfly Ai no Uta. Sweet スウィート, Sūīto is the debut studio album by Chara, which was released on November 11, 1991. It debuted at 64 on the Japanese Oricon album charts, and charted in the top 200 for two weeks. It eventually sold 11,000 copies, making it Chara's least sold album. It was preceded by her debut single Heaven in September. The album also had two re-cut singles: the title track Sweet released in January and a remix single called No Toy Re-Mix, featuring three alternative mixes of album tracks. None of. Chara's fifth album earned her a million seller in its initial week of release, and put her high in the ranks of Japan's alternative female vocalists. This is a charming album, brimming with sunshine and confidence, going from grunge-style guitars to lullaby glockenspeil with ease, sometimes in the same song.
