On 20 Odd Years, he picks selections from a recent set of four vinyldigital EPs, laying his raspy flow and far-reaching subject matter over production that ranges from straight-up boom bap the opener Superstars Don't Love to acoustic, folksy, almost New Age-y jams Paper Airplane with Jenn Grant. 20 Odd Years. It features a number of female vocalists Get Back Again, Jenn Grant, Hannah Georgas, Olivia Ruiz, a route he has never taken before. It also features more wide-ranging production, with Charles Austin, Graeme Campbell and Emily Wells assisting. In preparation for the record, 4 EPs were released: Avant, Distance, Albuquerque and Ostranenie. Singles Zombie Delight, Paper Airplane and Who By Fire all received videos, the most Buck had ever recorded for a project so far. On February 1, 2011, Buck 65 released 20 Odd Years, named in honor of his twentieth anniversary in the music industry. The album continued the tradition of combining several different musical styles, and featured many different guest collaborators.
