Absolutego is the debut studio album by Japanese experimental band Boris. It was released in 1996 by Fangs Anal Satan. This album shows inspiration from the Melvins and, most prominently, Earth. Excluding the Merzbow collaboration Sun Baked Snow Cave, it is the only one-long-song Boris album that is not broken down into multiple parts. A song with the same title also appears in the album Dear. 12 DLP released by Southern Lord Recordings in 2010 as Absolutego, limited to 1000 copies on red 180 gram vinyl, and 2000 copies on black 180 gram vinyl. This whole album is one long song, so I was expecting some sort of epic drone song that I've become used to from Boris. To be totally honest, it's kind of a boring album. Boris Absolutego. 0 excellent. This ain't my favorite Boris album for sure, but it's not bad either. I prefer Amplifier Worship, which sounds similar, but more structured and repetition-based. But I didn't like Earth 2 or Sunn O's earlier albums much either, and I guess that's a prerequisite for really digging this album
